How to Fly Helicopters

Helicopters are one of the most difficult aircrafts you can fly. Flying a helicopter is unlike flying a conventional aircraft as it requires a completely different set of skills. It is extremely important to remain clam and focused while controlling the three main controls of the helicopter.

Instructions

  1. Step 1

Start the engine, and check the oil pressure and amp meter. Stop the engine if the oil pressure is not the recommended oil pressure for your helicopter. Confirm the battery is charging on the amp meter.

  1. Step 2

Increase the throttle to rev the engine to 2000 rotations per minute or RPMs and engage the main motor blades. Turn off the left magneto and then the right magneto. The engine should never drop below 125 RPMs.

  1. Step 3

Use one hand to control the collective lever and ascend or descend while simultaneously controlling the throttle. The collective controls the helicopter's engine power. Increase the throttle on the collective to 2700 RPMs.

  1. Step 4

Pull the collective lever up until the helicopter becomes light on its landing skids, slowly rising from the right skid and then the left.

  1. Step 5

Maneuver the cyclic stick with your other hand and move the helicopter forward, backward, left and right. Move it forward to point the nose up or back to point it down. Move it left or right, and the helicopter tilts in the corresponding direction.

  1. Step 6

Adjust the pedals on the floor and control the angle of the tail rotor. Holding the left pedal down increases the angle and turns the helicopter left. Holding the right pedal down decreases the angle and turns the helicopter right.

  1. Step 7

Let the helicopter rise to approximately 6 feet above the ground while moving forward to approximately 45 miles per hour or MPH. Pull the cyclic stick back, and the helicopter will climb at approximately 1000 feet per minute. Maintain your forward speed to approximately 70 MPH until you reach your desired altitude

Sri Lanka lost a home one day cricket series against India !

Last week Sri Lanka lost an another one day series against young India cricket team. I think the main reason for this lost is the Toss. Toss is playing a very important roll in day night games in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka captain lost the toss four times in the row. So then Sri Lanka had to bat in night. It is very difficult in Sri Lanka. In all the games India manages to score more than 250 runs. So it is very difficult to chase down a total like that.
Also I think Sri Lankan all round performances was very bad in that series. Sri Lankan bowlers didn’t do their job very well. That’s why India manages to score more than 250 runs. Mainly Sri Lankan spinners didn’t do their job well. Indian batsmen’s manage to score very freely against Sri Lankan mystery spinner “Agantha Mendis”. That’s why Sri Lanka struggled to take wickets in middle avers. Also Indian batsmen managed to score at a good rate against “Murali” with out taking any risk. Also Sri Lankan fielders didn’t do their job really well. They gave many easy runs to Indian batsmen. Also they missed many run out chances. That hearted really bad to sri lanka. Also we saw the inexperience off Sri Lankan bowling attack in all the matches. They struggled to bowl in good line and length when pressure is on. Kulasekara is the only bowler who managed to bowl in good line and length when pressure is on.
Sri Lankan batting was very poor in that series. In all the matches Sri Lankan opening batsmen got very aggressive starts in power play overs. But middle order batsmen struggled to keep the momentum on. Snaga and Kandamby tried to keep that momentum on. But they also failed. Sri Lankan
Batsmen struggled to score against Indian part time bowlers like “Viru, YV and Raina”. Mahela Jayawardenas out of form is the Main reason for this problem. When he is in good form he score runs very easily against these part time bowlers. He is the batsman who can keep the score card moving in middle overs.
I think if Sri Lanka want to win upcoming one day matches they should improve their all round performances, Mainly their Bating and Fielding. Also Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardena should come to his form very quickly. Also Sri Lanka have to find a big heater who can score very quickly in middle overs and bating power play overs.
